Eberhard Osward is a Tanzanian Media, Arts, Creative Writing, Finance and Marketing personnel with more than two years’ experience of working on different fields with various organizations. He has been working with Tanzania Bora Initiative (TBI) as an Arts officer and Assistant Media personnel, She Codes for Change as a Logistic and Social media Lead, Love Arts Tanzania as an Arts Officer. Eberhard also engaged with TIGO Tanzania as a University Student Brand Ambassador, Songea Urban Water and Sewerage Authority as a Customer Surveyor, Tanzania Road Agency (TANROADS) as a Financial and accounting Intern, The Guardian Limited as a sales Executive. The passion for Arts has seen Eberhard stepping further to founding the group of Artists called We Belong To Art (WBTA), focusing on uniting Artists from different Universities to use their talents as a sources of employment, drive for national youth development and social change. He is also a founder of a Recording Label called StarTraits. Eberhard is currently an Arts Officer under Love Arts Tanzania, enterprise that focuses on using arts to bring about socio-economic and political development in Tanzania through nurturing gifts and talents. LA's main objective is to championing the formalization of Arts Industry to become a respected and recognized career that impacts lives positively in Tanzania. Eberhard holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (Honors) from the University of Dar-es-Salaam.
Ms. Maana Katuli is a communication and development personnel with a one year working experience as a sales agent and a brand ambassador. Her career focuses on the development and communication issues in the community in enhancing stable economic grounds especially among youth and women. She has worked with National Microfinance Bank (NMB) as a Direct Sales Agent engaging in opening NMB instant bank account (CHAPCHAP Account), reporting client statement and specific feedback on product and processes received during services and conducting launches events in wards with the help from Branch Agent supervisor. She is currently a Project Officer - Data Zetu at Tanzania Bora Initiative. Data Zetu is a project under IREX together with TBI, Sahara Sparks, Code for Tanzania and SBC4D. The project intends to change the culture of using data to make effective and efficient decision making at the local level especially with youth. The main focus area of the project is Health - HIV, gender equality and economic growth. Ms. Maana holds Master Degree in Development Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam, Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication from Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College and Advance Diploma in Software Engineering from Aptech Unique Academy. She also attained a short course on Business Skills a Professional Development Course at British Council, and training on Open Data from DLab.
Ismail Biro is the Director of Programs at Tanzania Bora Initiative (TBI) with over five years’ experience on development programs. His career focuses on enhancing good economic prosperity through innovation with full the engagement of young people. He also advocates for the promotion of positive self-identity and creativity as they engage in communities’ social, economic and political processes. He has worked with institutions such as the Youth of United Nations Association-Tanzania, where he led the designing and implementation of five rural projects on education, governance, health, and livelihood. He has also championed the strategic writing and running of Tanzania and East Africa Youths’ Consultations on the Post 2015 Development Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and the High Level Panels on the MDGs. At TBI, he has played a crucial role in the successful implementation of three (3) programs, designing of the 5 years strategy. He also coordinated reporting, monitoring and evaluation interventions, and facilitated youth dialogues and workshops. Ismail holds Postgraduate Diploma in Economic Diplomacy (First Class) from the Mozambique-Tanzania Centre for Foreign Relations, Bachelor Degree in Law Enforcement (with Honours) from the University of Dar es Salaam, also attained short courses on Economics and Development Diplomacy from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
